Qualifications

Qualifications & Requirements (Must-Haves):

Education: 

Bachelor’s Degree (minimum) in Electrical Engineering (Power) or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience: 

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the Diesel Generator industry or Distributed Power Generation plants.

Language: 

Fluent in reading and writing technical English documentation.

Preferred Advantages (Nice-to-Haves):

Specialized certifications in Diesel Generator Controller programming/configuration.

Professional training or certification in ETAP or DIgSILENT PowerFactory.

Job Description

Technical Documentation: 

Prepare and review comprehensive project technical submittals including:

  • Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
  • Wiring Diagrams
  • General Arrangement (GA) Drawings
  • Layout Plans
  • Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Equipment Data Sheets
  • Load Calculation Reports

Power Systems Design: Perform advanced power system studies including Short-Circuit Analysis and Protection Coordination.

DG System Expertise: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Diesel Engines, Alternators, and Diesel Generator Controllers.

Electrical & Control System Design:

  • Specify and select appropriate Alternators, Voltage/Frequency regulators, and Control Panels.
  • Design ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) systems, Synchronization schemes, and Earthing/Grounding systems.
  • Execute Short-Circuit calculations and Protection Coordination studies.

Ancillary Equipment Design (Electrical & Mechanical):

  • Select Power Circuit Breakers (ACB/MCCB), CTs, PTs, Cables, and Busducts.
  • Design mounting Chassis, Foundations, Anti-vibration mounts, and determine Center of Gravity.
  • Design Fuel Systems (including Day & Main Tanks, Pumps, and Piping).
  • Design Cooling Systems (Radiators, Air Ducting, and required Airflow calculations).
